Description
In this webinar, Control-F Managing Director Kevin Mansell will discuss two topics of importance to mobile forensic examiners: Location Services and Adoptable Storage (both on Android devices).
Flight mode is routinely used by mobile forensic examiners to isolate the mobile device from external radio signals such as Bluetooth, cellular and WiFi. But how does flight mode interact with Location Services on Android? Does enabling flight mode prevent a device from recording its location?
Adoptable Storage is a core Android feature allowing a device owner to extend their internal storage by utilising an inserted microSD card. It's quite possible that you have encountered encrypted content on microSD cards and not understood why. Adoptable Storage may be the answer. We will look at how Adoptable Storage works and how data can be recovered from microSD cards used in devices where Adoptable Storage was enabled.
The presentation will last for approximately 45 minutes with Q&A at the end.
