My daughter was unable to take the ELA exam today because of technical difficulties with her computer. The proctor had no idea ho to help her, so she spent the entire exam time sitting in the room unassisted. How will she make up the exam?

How do students sign up for the wellness activities after the PSAT?

It would be great if you could ensure that Wildcat Wednesday is being used for its intended purpose across the board. It seems in many classes new content is being taught as teachers feel the pressure to stay on track. Since this is WJ’s way of addressing the possible deficiencies from the previous year(s), it seems important to follow.

Students may also access free SAT practice questions, video tutorials explaining problems, and full length practice tests on the Khan Academy website. I strongly recommend Khan Academy as an excellent FREE resource!

The most important factor to any college admissions representative remains the GPA (including individual grades & course rigor). The SAT is a factor, weighed in context, along with other factors in the admission process.

There are many students that couldn't take test, because their name was not listed. Hoping this will be fixed.

Covid time limits students' study to some extend, do teachers /school provide more generous score/ rate for testing?

we do not score the tests as they are either state or county tests. The grades will be true grades. This will help us know where we need to focus. At the school level our teachers are doing everything they can to help address knowledge gaps.

Going back to grades, we all know they are important throughout HS and during Junior year. My kids are, for the first time in their academic lives, struggling to keep their GPA intact. Their Math / Stat teachers are always saying “average for this test in our class was C”. Is there a plan to help these kids as they put a lot of effort and are really stressed to keep their grades high? I can not tell how stressed they are right now. I am saying that because I know this is not a problem only in my family. Otherwise I would contact the counselor directly.

Do you have a recommendation for the best time to take the SAT or ACT? Is there enough time to complete college applications if the SAT is taken in the Fall of Senior year?

I recommend taking it for free this junior year in the spring.

SAT prep varies. You can contact the organization you want to use to find out when classes start. There are also many ways to prepare for free.
